The COVID-19 pandemic has been a pervasive threat to farmworker health, and Farmworker Justice has been working with community partners to provide education and outreach on COVID-19 to farmworker communities. The following video exemplifies such efforts – as it seeks to educate Spanish-speaking children on the importance of COVID-19 immunization. On November 4, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released an emergency temporary standard (ETS) mandating COVID-19 vaccination and testing in the workplace. The ETS covers employers with more than 100 employees. The notice states that covered employers are required to comply with all requirements by January 4, 2022. In addition, OSHA is requesting comment on the ETS as it considers creating a final rule.
