Farmworker Justice Oral History Project
Interviews with Farmworkers and Farmworker Advocates
Nothing can better illustrate the living and working conditions of
farmworkers better than the stories of farmworkers themselves.
In this series of profiles of farmworker advocates, Farmworker Justice Communications
Coordinator Barb Howe interviews people who grew up in families that
migrated with the seasons and worked in the fields planting, tending
and harvesting the food that feeds our country. With a focus on
their early life experiences, these brief interviews provide a unique
glimpse into the influences of some of the most inspiring figures in
the farmworkers' rights community today. It is our intent that
even those who know these formidable farmworker advocates well will
learn something new about them.
